Sar Pass is located in Parvati Valley at a 4180m high altitude. Although is a moderate trek and perfect for beginners. Sar Pass is a local dialect, which means a lake. While trekking, across the path from Tila Lotni to Biskeri Ridge, one has to pass by a small, (normally) frozen lake (Sar) and hence the name Sar Pass Trek. The real joy of the trek is the 100ft long snow slides. The trek can be tiring at some points but it is worth it once you reach Sar Pass Lake and get to see beautiful lush green meadows, view of snow-covered mountains.

Day 1 Reach Manali Bus Station to Vashisht Guesthouse:

Once you reach Manali Bus Station, we pick you up by vehicle. We accommodate in a guesthouse in Vashisht Village, it will only take you 15-20 mins to reach there. On the first day, we will take you to small hiking to Jogni Waterfall for a warm-up round before we start our trek the next day. The hiking will be about 45-60 mins.

Day 2 Vashisht to Kasol, Kasol to Grahan Village:

Early morning after breakfast, we drive to Kasol. It will take us 3 hours to reach Kasol. From Kasol we start our trek to Grahan Village; it’s going to be around 4-5 hours of the trail. The beginning of the trek will be an easy trail, follow the Grahan Nalah. The trail is easy and frequently used by local people. The trail goes through a dense beautiful pine forest. The ascent is gradual and easy. After the Grahan Nalah, the trail becomes a rocky and uphill climb. Away from right the right bank of the river, you will see beautiful Rhododendrons. After a steep climb of about an hour, you reach Grahan Village. Overnight camps at Grahan Village.

Day 3 Grahan Village to Mung Thach:

In the morning after breakfast, we start climbing towards Mung Thach, it will take around 5-6 hours. After walking for a while you can see Mung Thach, Nagaru, and Sar Top on the mountain to the right. The trail becomes steeper and leads into the woods. The path becomes steeper and steeper as we walk. After crossing the forest, we reach Mung Thach. The campsite will be here for overnight stays.

Day 4 Mung Thach to Nagaru:

Today after breakfast, we start our trail early today. Today’s destination is Nagaru and it will take around 4 hours to reach there. The trail will be steeper than the previous day's trail. We pass through the pastoral forest to snow cover meadows and it’s a tricky path. After a couple of hour's walk, we finally reach Nagaru. From here one can see magnificent mountains across the Parvati Valley. The campsite here for the overnight stay.

Day 5 Nagaru to Sar Pass, Sar Pass to Bishkeri:

After breakfast, we again make an early start today for our trail. The trail going to be long and steep through snow, it takes us around 7-8 hours to get there. As you walk across the Nagaru ridge the trail becomes moderate, from here one can see Sar Pass and Peaks of Tosh Valley. Just before the Sar Pass, a few meters of the climb is going to be steeper. Once we reach the top, the view is stunning and gives the feeling of satisfaction by looking at the exhilarating view of Sar Lake, the green meadows surrounded by the snowcapped peaks and trail below. After spending some time here at the lake, we start walking toward the Bishkeri. Now the real fun begins The Slide, the slide is fun and safe as long as precautions are taken, you need to listen carefully, to your guide and keep “Dos and don’ts” in your mind. The slide takes one a kilometer far within minutes. After the slide, the slopes are gentle through rhododendron bushes and we reach Bishkeri. Overnight campsite at Bishkeri.

Day 6 Bishkeri to Barshaini, Barshaini to Vashisht by Drive:

Today after breakfast, we start walking downward to Barshaini. It will take us around 3-4 hours. Bishkeri, offers a beautiful view of pine, deodar, oak forest, with a majestic view of mountain peaks. The trail is followed by many small streams. One the way beautiful meadows and grassland catch your eyes. The descendants take us to Pulga village. From Pulga village we continue the descent to cross Parvati river and climb to reach village Barshaini. From Barshaini, we pick you up by vehicle and drop you to your accommodations at Vashisht.

  • Accommodation: From Day 1 to last day of the trek accommodation will be provided at campsite.
  • Meals: From Dinner on Day to Breakfast on Last day of trek are included. Himalayan Trekker Provides on Vegetarian food.

  • Food during transit to and from the base camp
  • Backpacks Offloading: Porter to carry personal backpack
  • Note:Himalayan Trekker expect you to carry your own backpacks,if you wish to offload your backpack, you can give it to Potar. Charges - 800 full trek You have to inform us in advance for backpack offloading. once we reached at starting point of trek offloading can't be possible.
  • Stay at Manali on the last day
  • Anything apart from inclusions

Cancellation Polices:

  • Cancellations prior to 15 days from the start of the Trek: Get a full refund (minus 5% transaction cost). The money will be transferred to the same bank account from where the transaction was made.
  • Cancellations prior to 10 days from the start of the Trek: 50% Cancellations Charges. The money will be transferred to the same bank account from where the transaction was made.
  • Cancellations less than 7 days of departure: Unfortunately, NO REFUND.
